RyCa : Refresh,

London, England, United Kingdom London, England, United Kingdom

  • About the event

We take venues in London and turn them into Musical Theatre 'Live Lounges'. Pairing new singers with new arrangements to create something bespoke and beautiful. Our first event was at Foundation Bar in Covent Garden, and with in 2 days, we'd been invited to take our show to the Borlase Theatre in Marlow, to perform for an audience of 200 people. We like to keep our gigs intimate and personal, so we don't like going to far above 500. Our next Event is scheduled for 28th January, and is going to be taking place in a studio in Angel often used by Channel 4. It's a homely, large open plan living room-esque space, which we're going to utilise by bringing in an acoustic guitar, percussion and violist to create an evening of live / easy listening.

    Why should you sponsor?

Although we're a smal company, we've already made a big impression on the Musical Theatre industry. We're also incredibly loyal, so sponsoring us now means that we'll come back to you later in the year for the bigger events that are sure to turn the heads of big corporate investors.

    Ryan Carter

Ryan trained at The Urdang Academy, graduating in 2015 and is currently playing ‘Eddie Kendricks’ in Motown The Musical (Shaftesbury Theatre).

After graduating, Ryan used his unique skill set to create a platform and company that would serve other musical theatre graduates. In September 2015,the aptly named ‘Audition Sessions’ were born; a weekly web-series that would feature a new singer every week. The videos were recorded and lmed using industry standard equipment, editing and mixing, leaving the singer with video that accurately represented them and sold them in the best light. To date, RyCa Creative’s YouTube channel has approximately 100,000 views across a series of Audition Sessions, Specials and the newly launched ‘Acoustic Sessions’.

As Ryan slowly made a mark on the industry by lling a gap in the market, he began to be approached by other areas of the industry. Broadway composers Kerrigan and Lowdermilk contacted Ryan and paired him with Britains Got Talent winning MT Boy Band ‘Collabro’, who in collaboration with New York based ‘Broadway Unlocked’ created a special music video to aid their charity concert. Following this, Ryan was then asked to be an editor and consultant for Jamie Lambert’s ‘Wine Wednesday’. Later on, Ryan returned to the studio with Collabro to help create a special video to mark their new set up as a quartet, a cover of Adele’s ‘All I Ask’ that currently holds over 250,000 views.

At only 22 years of age, Ryan has surprised people with his drive and creative intuition and vision. Despite fulfilling his own West End dream, he is whole heartedly committed to allowing more talent to thrive in the industry through his company RyCa Creative.
