According to sponsors, vendors, musicians, concert-goers, this festival is something very special (see QUOTATIONS.pdf in documents section.) We succesfully produced and presented our premier jazz festival (May 26, 2018) on a small budget, featuring 31 bands in 7 venues, including an outdoor stage in the cities Town Square. The festival's headliner was the vocal group, The Manhattan Transfer. For our 2019 festival, our attendance is expected to reach over 5,000 people in two full days.
We announced the creation of this Memorial Day weekend festival in January 2018 because another jazz festival in our area, The Sacramento Music Festival, announced the cancelation of their festival after 44-years. As a concert promoter and established jazz pianist (endorsed by Steinway), I knew that we had to fill the void by starting The Roseville Jazz Day Festival. Instead of the high-cost of Sacramento, this new festival would take place in Placer County, just a 30-minute drive from downtown. There are plenty of high-income homes by Folsom Lake, and there is a built-in audience of two major retirement communities: Del Webb/Sun City Roseville, and Sun City Lincoln. These areas feature thousands of homes, full of active seniors with disposable income. These are the people that grew up with jazz. The festival was a huge success in every way. The businesses, vendors, musicians, even the festival, all made money. It is true that jazz festivals can be successful, but only by the generous gifts from the sponsors.
Major sponsors receive a half-page color ad in the festival program, and on-stage mentions from emcees at all eight venues for two days from 11am-9pm. Your logo/name will appear under our logo on posters/fliers/printed advertising, on the program cover, on festival t-shirts, and on our website. Your company will receive 10 all-day passes, 2 headliner passes, and any VIP invites. (Our headliner for the last festival was the 10x Grammy-winning vocal group, The Manhattan Transfer. Exclusive. Visible signage with your company name/logo on our main stage. Visible to audiences for two full days from 11am-9pm. (Ex: "Pan-Am Airlines Main Stage".) Your company will also be listed in the festival program on the band schedule page, and will include a write-up/ad about your company. Programs are handed out free to all attendees. Your company will also be mentioned by emcee's before every set on that stage from 11am-9pm for two days.
Your logo/name will appear on all festival banners, at the very top of posters/fliers/printed advertising above our festival name (see concert flyer in photos section), at the top of the program cover, on t-shirts. Your company will receive on-stage mentions from the emcee before every set on all 8 venues, for two days from 11am-9pm. Your logo will also appear on our website. Also Included in all advertising, your company will receive 20 all-day comp passes & 4 headliner concert passes. We are seeking one sponsor to be featured exclusively in the same line of our festival title. For example, "The Pan-Am Airways Roseville Jazz Festival". Anywhere our festival name is mentioned, TV/on-air, on stage, printed (billboards, festival banners, national jazz magazines, posters, programs, online, t-shirts, newspaper/radio), your company name will be also.
