About the event
R-Squared & Friends is an Artists of Color dance music DJ showcase with a goal to create an impact in the Asian American community and bring representation through music. The proceeds of the event will help establish a scholarship aimed at empowering and inspiring Southeast Asian American college students with creative aspirations. These creative fields involve but not are limited to; photography, videography, design, art, media, and music.

R-Squared Media’s mission and values revolve around bringing awareness and representation to artists of color, and organizations. Specifically, we aim to inspire and motivate Asian Americans to follow their creative aspirations in media, music, and entertainment.
R-Squared Media was founded by Ricky Rath, a Western Washington University Journalism, Public Relations, and Sociology graduate from Tacoma, Washington. Although solely independent, he often partners with local creatives and organizations.
