    Why should you sponsor?

The Inaugural event was much more than a game; it raised funds and awareness to support the research and mission of the American Heart Association. This year, we are working to support the Son of a Saint, an organization that exists to enhance the lives of fatherless boys through mentorship, emotional support, development of life skills, exposure to constructive experiences and formation of positive, lasting peer-to-peer relationships. We are hoping to gain the support of local businesses like yours to participate in our event by becoming a sponsor.

As a sponsor of the 2nd Annual Pros vs. Media Flag Football Game, your company will be afforded ample exposure and opportunities to place your business in front of the audience coming to see these sports and media pros battle it out on the field. I am personally asking you to consider supporting this year’s event by becoming a sponsor. Detailed in this packet are this year’s sponsorship options. We sincerely appreciate your support of our efforts.

    Casey Ferrand

Casey Ferrand is a New Orleans native who has a television and media career spanning more than 20 years, from her days as a child actress in New Orleans to her career as a nationally award-winning journalist. She started acting at the age of 8, starring in commercials for the New Orleans Children's Museum, the Louisiana Dairy Association, and Freeport-McMoran, Inc. In 1995, she joined a youth theater group called Stage to Stage, and during her eight years with the company, she was cast in an ensemble or starring role in at least ten productions. During her eight years with the theater company, Casey performed at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, with the New Orleans Opera Association and on local morning news broadcasts. Those times behind the scenes in a bustling newsroom opened a new world of possibilities for the teen.

The budding actress went on to graduate from Faith Christian Academy and attended the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) where she concentrated in musical theater. Casey attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX where she earned two Bachelor's degrees, one in Journalism and the other in Psychology in May 2007. While in college, Casey earned a summer internship at WDSU News in New Orleans where she worked alongside seasoned reporters covering the aftermath and rebuilding efforts following Hurricane Katrina.

Her professional journalism career began at KTVE in Monroe, LA where Casey was a General Assignment Reporter for eight months before she moved to Shreveport, LA to become the education beat reporter at KTBS 3 News. Within two years she was promoted to a weekend anchor. Her next move took her back to the Lone Star State working at KIAH in Houston, TX as a multi-media journalist (videographer, producer, and editor) for Tribune's revolutionary newscast called Newsfix. She was also a fill-in anchor on the morning news show called Eye Opener.

In 2012, Casey returned to New Orleans and to WDSU where she was apart of the station's coverage of the New Orleans East tornado in 2017 that won a national Edwin R. Morrow award. Her career highlights include shooting an M-16 rifle while on assignment at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, SC., scaling down a wall during a firefighter training in Minden, La., being tasered while covering a police training in Monroe, La, covering President Barak Obama's visit to Baton Rouge, La., the Lafayette Theater shooting and protests in Baton Rouge following the shooting death of Alton Sterling by police. Throughout her 10-plus years in television news, Casey's performance has been recognized by newsroom leaders and earned her a number of awards.

Casey is expanding her reach by using her experience and talents as a communications professional to promote the work of other individuals, businesses, and non-profits through her new radio show and podcast, In The N.O. with Casey Ferrand. She is also mentoring other aspiring journalists to help them make their way into a newsroom near you. Her comfort in front of the camera makes her a strong spokesperson for any product or brand. She is effective and entertaining as Master of Ceremonies for any event. She is articulate, attractive and highly talented with an ability to think on her feet and communicates with a friendly and conversational demeanor that comes from her more than two decades of experience on stage and in front of the camera.
