  • About the event

Towards the end of the year, my team and I are hosting a hackathon, called Pro Hacks. It will be hosted at Facebook's campus in Menlo Park unless Facebook has any other unforeseen circumstances that would stand to interfere with the hackathon. The reason we are organizing so early is so that we can offer the most comfortable and exemplary experience for our attendees. Our hackathon is a free event to attend. The main factor that differentiates our hackathon is that unlike other organizing committees, we (the organizers) chose to go to multiple hackathons, maybe 10-12, to receive feedback from various hackathons regarding what food would the attendees prefer, what venue would they enjoy more, where would they like money allocated, etc. After 3 long months of data collection and surveys, we are finally ready to organize our hackathon. So far, we have the backing of Hack Club Bank and Facebook for their venue, but we still need to find various sponsors to help further our event. What we request from your side is not necessarily monetary compensation, but whatever help you can offer.

    Why should you sponsor?

The organizers of Pro Hacks are absolutely broke. No really, we are broke. We can't support the event alone, which is why we need the help of our sponsors to join us so that we can make the event possible. Sponsors will get many things, depending on what tier they sponsor, from our four sponsorship packages. We can help distribute swag with the sponsors' logos, such as T-shirts, stickers, and more! We will also add your logo on our website and our future Instagram.

Did I mention that you can also offer internships to the winners of the hackathon? Yes, it is true. We will give you the contact info, level of education, etc. of the winners and they can be future interns at your company. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal, if you ask me.

    Advait Madhekar

I'm 15 years old, and a sophomore at Dougherty Valley High School, in San Ramon. In terms of my interests and hobbies, I wouldn't say I partake in the rather commonplace activities, such as sports and a perplexing obsession with social media. In fact, I could be considered the inverse, due to the fact that my free time seems to be completely filled with programming, robotics, and reading. In the future, as you may have guessed, I hope to go into a computer science position, particularly machine learning, but I've found some interest in working with processor and chip design. Nothing complex, but from what I've seen my father work with, it seems very interesting.
