About the event
Kejohanan Silat Terbuka IPT & Jemputan Antarabangsa PendekarSeabad XI 2019 or known as Pendekar Seabad is one of the students-run projects every year. It is fully organized by Universiti Malaya Martial Arts Club in collaboration with Malay Studies Academy. Pendekar Seabad was initially started by Persatuan Seni Silat Gayong Universiti Malaya on 2005 which is named for 100 Years of University Malaya. The project is geared to promote participation of children and youth in sport to provide many health and social benefit inherent in sporting activity especially in Malay self-defense. Today, Silat Malaysia is a very well known martial art form, through out the world. We aim to target 200 children aged10-12years, 500 students from many IPTA and IPTS and indirectly 100 people living in the community as they will be attracted to watch their children participating in sports activities.

This event is beneficial towards the youth nowadays as it is sports kind events since it will increase the interest of kids towards sports in this era.
Amirah BasirI am a member of sponsorship unit for this event. We have been didvided into several groups to smooth up the progress of approaching targetted organisation in getting sponsorhip. This is another kind of way we try to get sponsorship. Besides, we also conduct some sales to get some profit. Moreover, we had some canvassing at the market. Your small contribution to our event will give big impact to our event. hopefully I will get good respond from here.
