Paediatric Work Physiology Conference,

About the event

The Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Swansea University will soon be hosting the Pediatric Work Physiology Biennial Conference. The event will be held from 6-9^th September 2023 in Chepstow, Wales, and is the largest international paediatric-focused conference worldwide. We are delighted to be hosting this not-for-profit event, the main theme of which will be the role of technology in three key domains of Sport, Public Health and Clinical Populations, with the overarching aim of the research being presented being to enhance the physical, mental and social health and well-being of youth, including research on the impact of air quality on children’s health and wellbeing.  This research has never been as important as it is now as we navigate through the ongoing ramifications of the pandemic on children’s health and well-being. Indeed, the importance of this research and its potential impact is demonstrated by the world leading researchers and world-renowned politicians, such as Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, who will be presenting at the conference.

Why should you sponsor?

We currently have a range of sponsor packages available should this be of interest. In 2021, when we hosted a virtual conference due to COVID, we had over 100k impressions on Twitter and over 5.5k visitors to our website during the three day conference. This conference involved 60 presentations delivered from 32 institutions, across 20 countries and six continents. Furthermore, Swansea University is endorsing the conference and has a combined LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook following of over 200,000 people.
