Out of the Ordinary, Comes the Extraordinary,

Kingston, St. Andrew Parish, Jamaica Kingston, St. Andrew Parish, Jamaica

  • About the event

Our event is about helping a little boy in need. Rafael was born with a very rare orthopedic condition call Tibial Hemimelia (TH, of the right leg). This condition affects one in one million babies born around the world.

All around the world orthopedic specialists have been treating the condition by amputation along with prosthetics or wheelchair. This renders the child permanently disabled.

A pioneer in the field of orthopedics, Dr. Dror Paley of the Paley Institute in Florida has developed alternative treatment strategies that include corrective surgeries and limb lengthening. Rafael is said to have a mild version of the condition which could easily be addressed using this alternative method for him to have close to full functionality of his leg.

His parents have been fundraising to raise the US$250K needed for his condition to be addressed but they need help. So we are doing whatever we can to raise the funds needed to make this little boy's dream of standing on both legs a reality.

    Why should you sponsor?

The event is a charitable one and charity is always good for any brand. It is our social responsibility to give back whenever we can to whatever we can once it benefits individuals and/ or communities in a positive way.

The Afro-Caribbean Conscious Global Tour is a musical journey organized in partnership with two charities. While we trod on our journey to share the music of conscious and positive artists with the world, our efforts will be to reach out and help in varying areas including health, education, poverty alleviation, child and family welfare among others.

This is the start of our journey for something positive your brand will stand out as one of the early supporters of our cause as well as will be given preference for future events and activities.
