About the event

Ottawa Run for Palestine is a registered not-for-profit organization based in Ottawa, Ontario. It aims to promote healthy lifestyles and charitable giving among Canadians of diverse backgrounds.

Founded in 2014, Ottawa Run for Palestine’s directors and volunteers organize an annual sporting fundraiser to support charitable organizations making a difference in the lives of the Palestinian people.

Ottawa Run for Palestine is made up of members of the Canadian community. We raise funds through CRA approved charities in Canada.

This year Ottawa Run for Palestine will be returning back to our original gorgeous scenic route along Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway starting at Canada Space and Aviation Museum. The run will be followed by a Palestinian cultural showcase and a BBQ, filled with family fun activities in support for UNRWA and Youth Action Now.

Why should you sponsor?

Proceeds from the Run For Palestine 2K, 5K and 10K will fund UNRWA's Community Mental Health Program (CMHP) to help empower vulnerable refugees in Gaza and locally, Youth Action Now, supporting young people making positive change in our community, promoting grassroots action and collective leadership. Building on Paul Dewar’s legacy, our grants program — Start Up Now — and mentorships, strengthen youth-led initiatives locally.

The Run for Palestine is a fun, family-friendly event bringing Canadians together to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian children living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Runners, walkers, and people of all ages are welcome.

We are the Ottawa Run for Palestine Committee, a not-for-profit voluntary association which aims to promote healthy living which respects the environment and embraces diversity
