The goal of the Brazos County Equestrian 4-H Club is to educate youth in all aspects of the equine (horse) industry and to prepare youth for citizenship responsibilities, the development of leadership skills, initiative, and self-reliance.
he 4-H Horse Project is a non-profit organization, and all sponsor money goes directly to the kids and the program. All sponsor money goes towards providing educational material; helping our youth attend regional, state, and national competitions in Horse Judging and Show events, pay entry fees for 4-H State Show delegates; and help fund bimonthly riding sessions, as well as many other needs pertaining to 4-H Horse Projects. In order to do this, we are hosting our 46th annual Open Horse Show at Still Creek Ranch on April 21st.
I am the Club Manager for the Brazos County Equestrian 4-H Club. I started out in this organization three years ago as the Brazos County 4-H Horse Judging Coach. Since then, my commitment to this team has continued to grow. Through fundraisers like this horse show, I am able to support this club and the team as they develop leadership skills, friendships, and work ethic through horses.
