  • About the event

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of transforming India from a nation of job seekers to job creators is materializing through ‘Startup India’ initiative. Strengthening the dream of our Prime Minister, this year the Entrepreneurial Cell of NES Ratnam College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Bhandup (W) is organising the 3rd edition of the NES Ratnam Startup Fest on 19th January 2018.

     

    The last two Startup Fests, saw participation of over 90 student startups including novel ventures from other cities like Jaipur, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, Nagpur and Nashik and the products and services by women entrepreneurs were on display in the hugely successful entrepreneurial extravaganza. It was a wonderful opportunity for aspiring student entrepreneurs to interact with and get mentored by industrial leaders, capital advisors and successful business owners.

     

    About The 3rd NES Ratnam Start-Up Fest-2018

    Objectives

    §  To provide a platform for exhibiting the entrepreneurial propensities of students and exposing their ideas and products to a wider and illustrious audience in India’s Financial Capital

    §  To provide mentoring, marketing and media support to budding entrepreneurs, all under one roof.

    §  To inspire and ignite the entrepreneurial spirit amongst the youth and strive to harness their latent potential.

    Distinct Features of the Festival

    • Startup Expo –Stalls by various  college students
    • Workshops - By eminent personalities on how to get started
    • Idea Lab-Presentation of business ideas through PPT (Max Time limit :10 minutes)
    • Enablement Space – Interaction with mentors & investors
    • Success Stories- Shared by successful entrepreneurs.

    ·        Student Founders: Startups founded by students looking for growth and development.

    ·        Prospective Entrepreneurs: Budding entrepreneurs to exhibit a prototype of the product.
