National Community Radio Week (NCRW) Programme is initiated, designed and packaged to attract developmental investment to embrace the community radio sector growth. On the 13th February every year is World Radio Day. We decided that we will celebrate this day by holding events for the whole week and call it the National Community Radio Week.
Primary objective
The project’s mandate is to;
o Develop and build the community radio sector.
Secondary Objectives
The sector can be build and developed through a crafty implementation plan that will ensure that the following objectives are achieved;
o Consistent marketing of the community radio sector.
o Gratifying profit/capital to be shared amongst all participating stations.
o Initiate job opportunities for the young, talented and unemployed.
o Invest in skills development for people working in radio.

I am the Marketing and Sponsorship manager of the Event. I started with the project when it was established in May 2016. The project is still growing and we intend to keep it running so that we can enhance the community radio sector.
