About the event
The Scottish National Child Protection Conference 2017 is a national conference aimed at sharing best practice and research into child protection across a wide range of sectors including Sport, Education, Youth and Social work and academics.
The inaugural conference is to be held in Edinburgh (Venue TBC) on the 9th of September.
The one-day annual conference will see a range of keynote speakers share current research and best practice as well as allowing the opportunity for attendees to attend a number of focused workshops in order to develop their child protection knowledge further.

You will also be supporting Physical Education Scotland, a national not for profit sports development organisation in keeping more young people healthy active and safe as well as developing the Scottish sporting workforce.
Daniel PhillipsOur mission is to ensure that the young people in Primary and secondary schools have access to the recommended amount of physical Activity recommended by the Scottish Government as well as being able to take part In various extra curricular activities. We do this through engaging with local schools and clubs to ensure that physical activity is at the forefront of pupils education and that staff, pupils and parents/carers understand the benefits of being active.
As an independent not for profit organisation we have developed links with numerous organisations to deliver training to develop the coaching workforce, drive participation projects and get more young people active. We are not a national governing body or government organisation, although we have partnered with a number of national governing bodies of sport to help us in our work to get more young people involved in sport in Scottish Communities. We work tirelessly to ensure that all young people have the best opportunities available to them as well as ensuring that out coaches and those working with young people have the best CPD available to work with our young people.
