About the event
Miss Union Territory is a beauty pageant with an aim of exploring the brilliantly talented, the most intelligent and gorgeous beauties of the 9 union territories and giving a platform for exhibiting their talents. Miss Union Territory will provide a unique platform where the contestants can showcase their talents and culture along with developing their creative as well as social skills.
We provide opportunities for young vibrant women belonging to the age category 18-30 to exhibit the talent in them. The preliminary auditions and selections will be conducted in all the 9 union territories and the best and finest 16 will be selected and they will be groomed by the experts and will compete against each other to obtain the title of Miss Union Territory.
The candidates will be judged on the basis of various criteria’s which not just consider the external beauty but also the internal beauty, intellect, cultural and traditional quotient, modernity and so on.
The first edition of Miss Union Territory is going to be held in 2020 and is titled Miss Union Territory 2020. The final event is scheduled to be conducted in the scenic beauty of Andaman and Nicobar Islands by February 2020.

The statistical researches done in the recent years are coming up with a bunch of shocking facts about plastic waste accumulation in the world. Some of those facts include the following:
1. Around the world, one million plastic drinking bottles are purchased every minute.
2. Up to 5 trillion single-use plastic bags are used worldwide every year.
3. In total, half of all plastic produced is designed to be used only once — and then thrown away.
These are just few facts about the plastic waste accumulation and plastic pollution. The effects of plastic pollution is so huge. Some of the major effects of plastic pollution include the fact that it will upset the food chain, it kills animals, it causes ground water pollution, land pollution, air pollution, oceanic pollution and so on.
Plastic waste is now so ubiquitous in the natural environment that scientists have even suggested it could serve as a geological indicator of the Anthropocene era.
The Miss Union Territories 2020 team identifies this crisis as a very serious social issue on which quick counter action is required. And we are attempting to do our part for this cause. We are campaigning to create a plastic free society. And as a first step to this Nobel cause, we are initially implementing our action plan in the beautiful land of Andaman and Nicobar Islands which is also our event finale destination.
