About the event
As a mental health professional, support is necessary to effectively serve clients. Minority professionals often feel isolated when it comes to finding said support and understanding. There are issues that minority clinicians face that need to be addressed in a safe environment. From lack of diversity in the field to a responsibility to serve their own community, minority mental health clinicians are often pulled in several directions.
This dinner is the first of many that will provide minority clinicians with networking opportunities, consultation opportunities, as well as connect them to resources that will benefit them and their clients.

Eboni HarrisEboni Harris is a sex and relationship therapist in the Houston, Texas area. Eboni has dedicated over 10 years of her career to helping others. She helps adults communicate with clarity and honesty, love with passion and intention and teach their offspring (little ones) the value of boundaries, compassion and trust. Eboni is also the Founder of Room for Relations, a website devoted to capturing the black experience as it relates to the topics of sexuality, relationships, mental health and family issues. She hosts a weekly sex and relationship podcast of the same name where her and a few friends discuss everything from the first date to the last orgasm. Eboni has been featured as an expert in articles found on Bustle, BlackDoctor.org, Medical Daily and many others well known sites. She has also had the opportunity to speak about mental health in the black community, keys to healthy communication and a great sex life, and the importance of building business relationships with other women.
