I am the founder of Midwest Show Me Funny Entertainment in St. Louis, Missouri. I started my company for a way to use comedy and other forms of entertainment for fundraising opportunities and for entertainers to get connections. I’m currently organizing the "Show Me Funny" Comedy Festival to be an annual event to help raise funds for community issues. I'm collaborating or partnering with other businesses across the United States. Many of them are non-profits that will benefit from the Livestream Events and our Live Events when they are allowed again. The plan is to keep the orginal plans included in this proposal for all of the events to be annual events. If we can't gather in large crowds this year, plans are being made to do the rest of the Comedy Festival scheduled for June 20th and 21st online at the beginning of June on the 3rd and 4th. The Juneteenth events scheduled for June 15-21, 2020 at Harris-Stowe State University may also become online events.
MY PROPOSAL FOR THE SHOW ME FUNNY COMEDY FESTIVAL AND OTHER EVENTS RELATED TO IT
I've set a target date to do a Juneteenth Celebration with the "Show Me Funny" Comedy Festival June 15-21, 2020 at Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis, MO. The Corona Virus has forced the Comedy Festival preliminary and semi-final rounds of the Comedy Competition to be an online event. The Juneteenth Celebration can also take place online if we still can't gather in large crowds. If so, it will be a week long event with different local and nationally known speakers and entertainers speaking and entertaining online. There will be Masterclasses, Workshops and Panel Discussions related to topics about the African American Community. This celebration commemorates the June 19, 1865, announement of the abolition of slavery.
Invites are out to have up to 100 contestants to compete in the online Comedy Competition starting May 12, 2020. The events will be a weekly, 3 days a week from 7pm - 9pm, every Tue., Wed., and Thurs. There will be 10 Contestants, a Host, a Guest Entertainer and a DJ for every show. Also a different non-profit will be invited each day to share what their organization is doing in the community. The viewers will be asked to vote for and give a donation to the contestant and others they want to support who are on the show. The winners of the online Comedy Competition semi-final rounds will be invited back to perform at the Juneteenth event and the Final Rounds in July.
If we can gather in July the events will take place the 3rd and 4th at the St. Louis Convention Center in halls 1 & 2 and the Dome on the 5th. These locations will allow over 400 vendors and the space for over for up to 70,000 people. Many of the vendors will be well-known Comedians in town to do their Meet & Greets at the final days of the Comedy Festival. We plan to have the finals of the Comedy Competition at Ferrara Theatre on that Friday and Saturday. It's located inside the Convention Center. The GRAND FINALE is a Guinness World Record attempt and Fundraising Event. Because the current economic crisis has been a big financial "game-changer" and will contributed to the high number of homeless people in American. I’m using this comedy entertainment event as a way to help and heal. It's my wish to donate a portion of the proceeds to selected organizations willing to help with organizing and each event that is connected to it. Having this event will help all of the organizations coming together to help the community bounce back from Covid-19 and the opportunity for us to make Comedy Histoty. If we can't gather in July we will take the first opportunity to have the Comedy Festival vendor events and the Guinness World Record attempt at those locations. If the finals of the Comedy Competitions have to take place online it would be very exciting to have some of the biggest names in comedy to host the events or at the Live events at the STL Dome!

The plans were for this year and will be for future events of the "Show Me Funny" Comedy Festivals is to have a series of pre-organized competitions either in person or online across the country to find the funniest comedians. The top prize for the pre event winners was and will be in the future for the comedians who won in their to get their expenses covered to come to St. Louis to compete for cash and prizes totaling $100,000 or more. It can still happen this year with the help of sponsors. I’m seeking help from sponsors willing to help cover the cost of this event and others planned for 2020 and beyond. Having comedy promoters onboard willing to collaborate will make it even more exciting! It worked out with only two promoters collaborating with me in 2010. That was the year I knew a Comedy Festival would be a great event for St. Louis and other cities to connect for collaborations to support causes. Most Comedy promoters have great connections to well-known names in this industy and ways to search for the funniest comedians in their area. I have received a proposal from the team of Nick Cannon to bring the Wild 'N Out cast members to the Comnedy Festival. Because of the quarantine, it's a great opportunity to have some of the cast members as our Special Invited Guest or Hosts for the online events! Glisser is very interested in being apart of the events for 2020, especially the "Show Me Funny" Comedy Festival! They specialize in Hybrid and Virtual Events.

Having these events will draw up-and-coming comedians to it to entertain while helping worthy causes for years to come. Again, when it comes to comedy most people want to see nationally well known celebrity guests, hosts and judges. Having sponsors and vendors will help to cover the cost. I have many well-known connections that know about my plans to do this event and many of them want the opportunity to be a host or contestant. I would like to also honor or pay tribute to a Legendary Comedian each year of the “Show Me Funny” Comedy Festival.
As a sponsor the company will benefit from the positive endorsement of participation via residence seeking products and services. The Company's name and/or logo could be advertised in all printed advertisements, promotional items like t-shirts, caps and more. Advertisements can be placed on many of the websites of Midwest Show Me Funny Entertainment. All of that and more will be offered. However, it will depend on the level of sponsorship the company is willing to give to have their brand on all the event’s promotions related to the Comedy Festival and other events or future projects. A meeting would give us a chance to give the company a more detailed presentation.
