Empowering the Women of India: Self-Defence Workshop for Women of Delhi.

Women in India are suffering, you always alert, stared, fear of being of touched, and we should not have to live in fear in the streets of Delhi. In collaboration exclusively with Kapap (from Singapore), we want to make a change to empower the men of India and invite you to our free self-defernece workshops (women-only).

We always wonder how we are going to fight back if we ever stuck in any such situation? Sometimes it becomes impossible for us to move in the streets of Delhi due to increasing case of robbery, thefts, eve teasing etc. Are we all prepared for that? Could you defend yourself?

If not, do not worry we have started this self-defense workshops will empower you to deal with any difficult situation.

It is a call for every WOMEN and GIRLS to join this amazing opportunity to learn the art of self-defense lead by Kapap Academy.

Introduction of our Organization

Lakshya Jeevan Jagriti is an NGO working for women and youth empowerment since 2009. Lakshya is hosting this event in collaboration with Kapap Academy to empower women and girls of Delhi. From last 9 years Lakshya has been into trainining and development of women and have been recognised by many national and international awards like:

• Best Social Enterprise Award, From Singapore International Foundation 2017 

• Cherie Blaire Foundation, London, Mentorship to Founder’s Team of Lakshya 2017 

• Fellowship Award to Founders of Lakshya from GGF , Washington DC , USA 2016  (out of 1400 applications worldwide) 

• Invited to take workshops by Women On Mission International, New York USA 2017 

• Among Top 20 organizations at TATA Social Enterprise Challenge 2013, IIM Calcutta 

• First prize winner at Kalpvrishka Social Business venture competition. IIM Indore 2015 

Lakshya Jeevan Jagriti keeps on initiating events and workshops on different aspects for women. Be it digital literacy, fellowships or entrepreneurship, Lakshya has always come up with new openings with the support of corporates and organisations like American Centre, Womens Era, She The People, Delhipedia, Desi Entrepreneurs, Nexus, Nurture  Tree and many more.

Now Lakshya Jeevan Jagriti in Collabration with Kapap Academy has initiated a Self Defence awareness program for which a three day  workshop will be organized in different parts of Delhi in the month of December 2018.
