Mattapan Square Main Streets (MSMS) is a nonprofit organization that was incorporated in December 2011 as Boston’s 20th Main Streets Program to be the driving force in re-igniting the community’s passion to transform Mattapan Square into a thriving and robust commercial district.

We are committed to: focusing on community building and economic vigor for Mattapan using the four principles of the Main Streets Program – design, economic vitality, organization and promotion; honoring the unique and cultural diversity of the community; building on the strengths of Mattapan’s families and local businesses; seeking broad community involvement and participation in MSMS’ work and activities; and building as well as sustaining a strong MSMS infrastructure to assist local businesses.

The organization works to achieve these priorities together with executive staff, board members, business owners, partners/stakeholders, elected officials and friends striving to change the look and feel of Mattapan Square. We are passionate about the work we do and dedicated to revitalizing the community.
