About our event

San Diego’s nationally recognized Mardi Gras celebration will be bringing over-the-top glitz, glam, floats, BEADS and vivacious energy to San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter on FAT TUESDAY, February 13th, 2018 from 5:00 PM to midnight. Celebrate with over 20,000 revelers at one of the biggest music and parade festivals the West Coast has ever seen!


The 2018 Gaslamp Quarter Mardi Gras Parade & Celebration will be one for the books with the most extravagant parade we have offered in 24 years – More confetti, more dancers, and more BEADS than ever before! The streets will erupt with music and cheering crowds calling for throws as the parade kicks-off featuring awesome floats, stilt walkers, eye-candy cars, performers, and sexy samba dancers. Be sure to catch the huge finale of the parade as the spectacular final float parks and becomes a roaring stage for the rest of the night.


In additon to our three stages, we are taking the party into your favorite Gaslamp hotspot restaurants and bars which will be featuring entertainment, food, drinks, dancing and more! Mardi Gras party hubs will pop up throughout every block of the Gaslamp to keep your thirst quenched and the party going.
