About the event

Ladies in the Industry: Music and Media was created when founders, Serene MGMT, realized that there was a gap between the connection with women. Their mission has been to bring women together within the entertainment industry through common lifestyles such as mothers, singles, wives, LGBTs and more in order to create meaningful and sound relationships. These relationships creates more opportunities for women to work together and creates more job opportunities for the upcoming generation. We now have a place to express ourselves, within this male dominated industry!

Not only are they bringing the conference back, they have turned Ladies in the Industry: Music and Media into a Non-Profit organization! Since, they have started the LITI Scholarship, where they give 5 young ladies scholarships that are majoring within the communications, hospitality, media and events. They will issue the scholarships at the Atlanta fall conference in 2018.

February 18, 2017 was monumental for the Ladies in the Industry movement! Over a 100 women from all over the east coast gathered in a room to discuss their adversities, methods they use to keep their success and network in order to create new opportunities. Women on the panel were from Fox 5, CBS Radio, Radio One, international bloggers, award winning publicist and more! The energy was greatly appreciated from the founders, Serene MGMT, so much that they've decided to bring LITI back on the 7th of October, 2017 in Washington D.C.!

This conference includes three panels; our signature panel: "The Power Panel", which will focus on finances, "The Friendships Panel", which will discuss the art of developing and keeping great relationships in the industry, and last " The Dating Panel", where they discuss ways to carry ourselves as women in the industry while looking for love. Breakfast refreshments and lunch will be presented and unlimited mimosas and drinks will also be provided.  10 vendors will surround the room to present their brands to the leading women of the music and media industry.

Due to being in such a male dominated industry, woman are not allowed an area to confess their emotional sides as much. Sponsoring this event includes understanding the sustainability issues that are currently happening. We all have to take in accountability of bringing together brands and industries in order to create a cohesive atmosphere for creativity. Entertainment is all about creativity, and upon expressing ourselves, we are able to create even more!
