About the event
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (known far and wide as Jazzfest) has become one of the most popular annual events for music lovers of all types. The 2017 nighttime run of Jazzfest shows at Café Istanbul will be a showcase of local and national talent, and as in years past, will be a favorite destination for music fans looking for high-energy, top-shelf musicians performing in an intimate setting. We will produce 1-3 shows on each night we present nighttime shows during Jazzfest, and anticipate a full house at every one.
Café Istanbul is a beautiful and intimate 400-seat venue with a great sound system, balcony, full bar, great sightlines to the stage from just about anywhere, and a long history of supporting and promoting independent musicians, poets, actors, and artists of many types from New Orleans and around the world. Café Istanbul is THE hottest live music venue to catch nighttime Jazzfest shows until at least 3AM, and the 2017 lineup will be no exception.
Why should you sponsor?
Jazzfest in New Orleans is a destination event, with music lovers from around the world making the annual pilgrimage to the epicenter of jazz, food and fun: The Big Easy. Hundreds of thousands of people travel to New Orleans during the two weeks of Jazzfest, and sponsorship of the 2017 Café Istanbul Jazzfest Series will get sponsor's name and logo in front of HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of eyes (exact sponsorship perks listed herein by sponsorship amount). We advertise the run of shows in local and national music publications and websites (nola.com, jambands.com, relix.com, etc.), on thousands of posters/flyers/postcards distributed throughout the run of Jazzfest, and in every major New Orleans Jazzfest weekly paper/Event Guide (many tens of thousands of which get snatched up and read intently during both weeks of Jazzfest). Sponsors' logos will also appear on the venue's website and on posters and banners in and around the venue (and throughout the city on the aforementiond posters/flyers/postcards). Plus, the included VIP tickets for each show can be used as gifts to friends, family, employees, and/or anyone else who loves live music (is it too late to suggest that tickets make great holiday gifts?). Why should someone become a sponsor? Well, aside from simply feeling good about supporting artists, their art, and the appreciators who travel far and wide to appreciate the same, sponsoring the 2017 Jazzfest Series at Café Istanbul will get your brand in front of literally HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of eyes at a fraction of the cost of trying to do so yourself...and in one of the most friendly, celebratory and musical environments one can imagine.
I am a producer, filmmaker, professional musician and promoter with more than 30 years of experience producing live events (please feel free to visit my website at groovedivision.com for more background). I have been attending Jazzfest for more than 20 years as both a performer and a producer/promoter. I produced nighttime shows at Café Istanbul the past two Jazzfests, and given the success of my previous outings, the owner of the venue has given me the opportunity to book the enitre run of Jazzfest shows there for as many more years as I would like (which is many). We really want to up the game in 2017, and am seeking sponsorship in order to secure world-class talent at a very high level. I am looking to partner with folks who understand the importance of exposure for their brand, appreciate the opportunity to reach many thousands of potential customers at a fraction of the cost of trying to do so on their own, and who love and support live music enough to support our efforts at bringing world-class talent to an intimate, unique gem of a performance space...and by so doing, establish Café Istanbul as THE place to catch the best nighttime shows during Jazzfest each and every year. I am extremely serious about what I do, have an excellent track record, and as you can see by the value I am offering for each sponsorship dollar, will do all I can to insure that any sponsorship collaboration will most definitely be mutually beneficial (which is the only way I work).
