6th annual #JazzGala dedicated to one of the most remarkable American composers - George Gershwin!

Legendary drummer Al Foster who played with Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Sonny Rollins, Joe Henderson and many more….

John Lee - From 1984 thru 1993, John Lee was Dizzy Gillespie’s bassist. Performing and recording in the trumpet master’s various bands including the Dizzy Gillespie Quintet, Dizzy Gillespie Big Band, and Dizzy’s Grammy Award winning United Nation Orchestra. John has also worked in the bands of Gary Bartz, Larry Coryell, Jon Faddis, Aretha Franklin, Roberta Gambarini, Roy Hargrove, Jimmy Heath, Gregory Hines, Claudio Roditi, Sonny Rollins, and McCoy Tyner. 

Bobby Sanabria is a 7-time Grammy-nominee as a leader! A noted drummer, percussionist, composer, arranger, conductor, producer, educator, documentary film maker, and bandleader of Puerto Rican descent born and raised in NY’s South Bronx.

Alex's Sipiagin NYU Jazz Ensemble. Alex became favored player for various bands including Gil Evans Orchestra,Gil Goldstein's Zebra Coast Orchestra, Mingus Big Band... He performed with Dave Holland Dave Holland, Michael Brecker and others...

Yaacov Mayman, an artistic director fo the “Made In New York Jazz Competition” who performed and / or recorded with Ray Santiago, Benny Golson, bassist Avishai Cohen, Dave Weckl, Mike Stern and many others……. He performed on the most prestigious jazz festivals such as JVC Jazz, Playboy Jazz Festival, Red Sea Jazz Festival, Heineken Jazz Festival…

Special Guest:

Alex Norris who worked with many noted jazz musicians such as Slide Hampton, Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Chris Potter, Carl Allen, John Patitucci, Mulgrew Miller, and Brian Blade. Norris is very active in Afro-Cuban jazz, as well, having worked with Andy and Jerry González, Manny Oquendo, Paquito D’Rivera, and Chico O’Farril.

6 years ago: we started as an online jazz competition.

The explosion of interest in Made In New York innovative jazz competition has turned the website into a jazz hub. 

Today: We are World’s first online jazz competition, with over 50,000 registered fans and musicians from 55 nations and counting.

5 Years ago: We introduced our first Annual show in new York at the Tribeca performing arts center. Since our first “sold out show” we created multiple shows with artists from dozens countries performing together with jazz legends.

3 years ago: we opened our first international festival in Europe. Today: working with the most renown jazz / funk/ fusion / world artists we are known for creating unique lineups and putting together the best international shows.
