About the event
The international Educational Visit on Industrial 4.0 to Tokyo, Japan is organized by Final Year students of Chemical Engineering taking Process Analysis and Control and Major under the subject of CDB 4533 Stastitical Process Control. This program will include an extensive visit to Blueship Co Ltd., ABIT Co. Ltd., Hitachi Research Centre, KYOCERA Coporation and University of Tokyo which has been implementing Industry 4.0 practises particularly in the field of statistical process control which has significantly transform how the production line works.

Industry 4.0 is the latest industrial revolution which focussing on the evolution in digitization and automation of manufaturing process. Generally, Industry 4.0aims to enable machine-to-machine cimmunication through the implementation of industrial Internet of thing s (IIoT) which will minimize the human interaction in manufactutring sectors. Following up to global revolution, Malaysian government although falling a bit behind, is in a process of formulating the national Industry 4.0 Blueprint which is expected to be ready by the end of 2017. Looking at the current rate of technlogy advancement, it can be said that almst 50% of subject knowledge gained during the first year of a 4-year, technical degree will be outdated by the time the students graduated. Therefore, training for local workforce are being encouraged to maintain the resilience in this new automated age.
Mohd FirdausI am Mohd Firdaus Bin Lababa. I am currently pursuing my degree in Chemical Engineering at one of the highest institute of engineering in Malaysia which is Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. I am in charged for sponsorship for this event with three others committee under my wings.Throughout my degree program in University, I have learn a lot about event management through the event that i have participate.This is my first time doing sponsorship and it is completely different as compared to what i have done in other event.
