Imperial Cup 2017,

About the event

I am writing on behalf of Imperial College with information on our Annual National University Mixed Lacrosse Tournament, Imperial Cup, which I believe could be a great opportunity to gain exposure in universities via the fastest growing sport in the UK. 

The tournament is the largest of its kind in the UK with teams from across the UK gathering for a day tournament competition. This consists of a round robin morning to allocate leagues, followed by a knock out tournament in the afternoon. Typically games run 10 minutes each way and a team can expect to play upwards of 8 games during the day.

This year, the tournament will be held at  Heston Sports Ground (TW5 9PQ), beginning at around 10am (details to be finalised over the coming weeks). We, at Imperial, are incredibly proud of the growth of the tournament, having grown from a few teams to 22 in 2016 over the course of a very short period. It demonstrates the growth of lacrosse in the UK and our commitment to growing the game. Last year was a remarkable success and we hope to emulate this again this year.

We are looking for any involvement that you believe would be beneficial, but would like to offer the opportunity to be lead sponsors of the event. Which would lead to large brand exposure through event advertising, sponsored umpiring shirts, information sent to teams and on the day announcements.

Why should you sponsor?

The breath of universities entering creates a great commercial opportunity, with universities such as Cambridge, Bath and UCL competing every year. The concentration of university students would be a great opportunity for all those involved. This year, we are looking to grow the day even more by providing accommodation in the evening and arranging a evening at our College Union to provide more chance for lacrosse players to get together.

This event would not only give you great exposure within Imperial College, ranked 8^th in the World with key focus on engineering, but across a great diversity of other universities.
