About the event

Model United Nations, or MUN, is an academic setup simulating the United Nations’
working on the international level. The participants who engage in the conference are
referred to as delegates. Every delegate represents an international diplomat, and works
on the lines of the country or region the diplomat represents. Several committees are
introduced and their agendas carefully devised to ensure pressing debates and engaging
arguments on some of the most heated issues on the international front.
The secretariat of HINDUSTAN MUN comprises of students not only from India but
also from abroad. The secretariat of HINDUSTAN MUN has organised many successful
conferences in the past like Nirvana, TNMUN, RYP, PMP, etc. With immense progress
having been made since, the delegate count has risen to over 500 in the past editions,
with greater numbers expected every year. Set in the holy city of Varanasi, it boasts of a
unique blend of culture and tradition in the backdrop, as the delegates debate it out on
the turf of VARANASI. An experienced Executive Board is appointed, after due
scrutiny, to overlook the proceedings extremely professionally, and to aid quality
discussions and productive debates.
