HANDMADE AND FAIRTRADE MARKET,

Accrington, England, United Kingdom Accrington, England, United Kingdom

  • About the event

This Market day is free to attend and is centred around celebrating hand crafted items whilst encouraging young children to explore their creative side whilst embracing healthy eating and nature. As a parent myself, I fully understand the importance of these most fundamental principles in young children.

We encourage families to come along and have some fun without breaking the bank with the help of qualified crafters, entertainers and face painters. All people involved in the childrens area are DBS checked and qualified in child care. Our fairy is qualified in special needs care as well.

I have held 4 of these events previously and the family orientated theme is by far the most popular aspect and I wish to expand on this. No child will leave this event empty handed.

    Why should you sponsor?

By sponsoring my event you will be exposing your brand/ company to at least 500 children in a manner that shows you care about youngsters well being and future in the same way that I do. Parents, grandparents and other family members will see your brand and some items may find their way into schools. surplus will be given to children in hospitals so that they have a little something to cheer them up, again, showing that your company cares about them.

These products are recycled and environmentally friendly which proves that you are a company that is concerned about our planets future.

By sponsoring my event in this manner you are showing that you have a sense of responsibility and that you have family values at heart. This can only be a good thing in the eyes of those receiving these gifts from you.

    Many thanks

    Kate.

My name is Kate and I am a single parent carer to a child with Autism. I survived a breakdown and found myself needing to do something other than just be 'mum'. I set up a craft business and found myself organising a craft fair on Accrington Market (still not sure how that happened!) I found that not only did I enjoy it, I was good at it!! I organised four further markets and then along with my friend Evonne Harwood we organised 3 massive events on Warner street in Accrington (over 8000 people attended each one). Sadly, Evonne suddenly passed away last year, and I took a break. With the new town square being built in Accrington, I was asked if I would consider applying for tender for regular events. I did. I won them!! (obviously)

In my spare time I run a theatre group for people with mental health problems, I sing in a band and I am a samba drummer. I am also a qualified Aromatherapist, recovery coach and mum to a daughter, a cat and 3 tortoises.
