Greenning Africa's Higher Education Conference,

Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa

  • About the event

While South Africa and the world adopts the sustainable development goals, the role of higher education not only shaping sustainability drivers of the future, but also in creating sustainable higher education institutions is so critical in taking forward the agenda of sustainability in South Africa. Our sustainable African Higher Education Conference brings together, academics, civil society, government actor’s practitioners and other stakeholders to interrogate and probe the role of higher education in shaping a sustainable future for Africa. Themes covered in the upcoming conference include: Renew, Restore, Regenerate; Education for Sustainability: Innovating Curriculum and Research; The Built Environment; Change Management: Towards Transformation; Expanding the Sustainability Community.

    Why should you sponsor?

While many African nations welcome the UN sustainability goals, implementation remains a challenge. Higher education is a key stakeholder to foster the implementation of sustainability in Africa but yet many of these institutions are not sustainable themselves.

Sponsoring this conference will promote the agenda for sustainable higher education in Africa and a sustainable planet for all. Many business, academic institutions and community leaders are on board as well as a number of individuals. The South African community is clearly excited and eager to see this project succeed. You can be a part of that excitement by supporting sustainable higher education with a sponsorship of $1, 000 or more. We are happy to acknowledge your donation on our website and at our numerous events, place your logo in the official brochure, logo in the opening and closing sessions, if you have any promotional materials it can also be delivered in the conference bags(unless you prefer otherwise).  If you prefer an alternative sponsorship plan with broader marketing and presentation options, please do let us know and we would be glad to send you details of come through for a meeting with you.
