About our event

The Biggest Teen LAN Party is Coming to SCV this Summer!

GlowHouseGaming’s Launch Party @ SteamworkCenter is the first of its kind in Santa Clarita, CA. GlowHouseGaming and SteamworkCenter are working together with several community partners to broaden and improve diversity across the gaming and tech industries.

The LAUNCH PARTY anticipates 300 attendees on Saturday, September 9th.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Shawndrell Lynch is an IT Director for Business Relationship Management at Sony Pictures Entertainment leading business process modeling and system design for the Home Entertainment Commercial Sales Division. Prior to joining Sony Pictures Entertainment, she was a Senior IT Principal Analyst and Project Manager at DIRECTV, Warner Bros., Boeing, and a freelance consultant for various small businesses. Her leadership expertise has led to the successful delivery of multi-million dollar sales and financial systems in the media and entertainment industry.

Shawndrell holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California Los Angeles in Mathematics Applied Science. While in college, she tutored students preparing for the SAT college entrance exam supporting many organizations such as College Bound, NSBE, Council of African American Parents and UCLA Outreach programs.

Her passion for increasing STEM degree attainment and career pathways for underrepresented minorities and females is evident through her positive influence on her own 12-year-old daughter. For the past four years, she has enrolled her daughter in various video game design, coding and gaming programs and has served as a Women In Technology and Riordan College To Career Program mentor.
