Maui Preparatory Academy is hosting the first-ever Maui held GIN (Global Issues Network) Conference on March 6-8. The theme of our conference is “2020 Vision: EnGINeering the Future, Respecting our Roots.” Engineering, in relation to both inventions and ideas, is our propellant into the future of a more sustainable lifestyle; we bring in both cultural and environmental aspects through our pledge to “respect our roots.” Our goals for the GIN Conference prioritizes the education and empowerment of students through hands-on projects promoting environmental sustainability. We hope to spark inspiration and innovation and show that students are able to bring back to their schools and communities in order to begin their own projects promoting environmental sustainability and GIN values.
We would appreciate a donation as this conference is completely student run, and we are working tirelessly to make this as amazing as possible. Your donation would be used primarily to fund supplies such as transportation and food. Donating to us will not be without benefits for your organization, as your logo will be used on all promotional items, will be on our website, and if you so desire you will have a table reserved to be a presenter at the conference.
My name is Sydney Snyder and I am a junior at Maui Preparatory Academy and one of the leaders of Maui Prep's Global Issues Network (GIN) club. I am working alongside a team of highly passionate students with a common goal of wanting to make the world a better place. We are excited to be hosting the first Maui held GIN Conference this March, a student led conference with the goal to empower the youth of Hawaii.
