About the event

Games with Strangers is a tabletop gaming event my friends and I started back in April 2018.

In the time since we've gained over 50 Facebook followers. We've regularly performed up to three weekly events at two separate event locations, and we're just getting started.

In October, GWS will be holding our first event in Birmingham, Alabama. 

We'll be looking to hold four weekly tabletop gaming events at three separate locations over the month of October.

Tallulah Brewing Company, located in Jasper, Alabama.
Quality Collectibles, located in Jasper, Alabama.
Books, Beans, and Candles, located in Birmingham, Alabama. 

We've had over 40 unique visitors at GWS events. 

Games with Strangers combines our wealth of knowledge working with the public, with our love of tabletop gaming.

We play a wide variety of tabletop games for our guests, providing them with a fun-filled night, free of charge.

This is where we started, but we have much more planned for GWS.

- Premier GWS Events.

Games with Strangers is open to the public, free of charge. We've been brainstorming to do potential revenue creating events. 

Including: 

"Player Two" - A GWS Date Night Event, featuring only two-player tabletop games. "GWS Poker Night". "GWS Kids' Night". Holding tabletop gaming tournaments for certain games of skill, like Klask. 

- Fundraising and Non-Profit Events.

The Games with Strangers Crew believe doing good will bring good to us. In the future, we would love to explore local fundraising and non-profit events. 

- Skill building workshops.

The GWS Hosts have a lifetime of experience working with the public. We use tabletop gaming mechanics and explain how they build on applicable skills in or out of the workplace.  

- Live Streams, Twitch, and YouTube.

At this time, GWS does not have the tools to make this a reality. We are more than interested in putting on a show about tabletop gaming and having others view our events. 

- The Six-Sided Cafe.

Games with Strangers' "ultimate" goal is to build up from a small-town entrepreneurship and create a local business for everyone to enjoy. A tabletop gaming cafe/deli would be an amazing accomplishment.

After working in the Customer/Guest Service Industry for over a decade. I know what it takes to be successful and I'm putting my knowledge, skills, and dedication to the test by building something from the ground up, literally. 

Games with Strangers grew out of my lifelong passion for games.

My parents have told me before, if I could find a way to work on myself half as hard as I do with gaming, I could do anything I wanted to.

Well, why not do both?

When I'm not working on my projects, I'm either reading, watching, or listening to something interesting, informative, or humorous. 

I'm a self-proclaimed sponge for knowledge and I have several bits of useless trivial information, hidden in the deepest recesses of my overly active mind.
