The 8th Canimambo Free Form Music & Arts Festival, 2018!


A NEW BEGINNING.
13th-15th July.

The Free Form Fest is a creative arts festival located in the beautiful mountain town of Graskop, Mpumalanga.
Not only is the fest just 10ks away from the legendary God's Window, it is also hosted by the exquisite Mozambican Restaurant, Canimambo. 

The aim of the festival is to expose a variety of Africa's "Free Form" talent, create awareness of the town's beauty and to raise funds for a different charity every year. As usual we like to upgrade and modify the FFF every year, so for the FFF regulars, we hope you like!

This year the festival will be held between Canimambo Restaurant and at the Graskop Holiday Resort (Inside the actual resort) which has a dam in the middle of the mountains,fishing, paddle boats, trees, bathroom facilities and much more!

Friday the 13th of July:

The festival goers will start to arrive. 
Festival grounds & ticket sales will be open from 1pm, and the gate closes at 10pm.
No tickets will be sold after 10pm on Friday until Saturday Morning.

The Activities & Entertainment will include:
Hiking Trails and View Points.
The Little shop of horrors Tattoo Shop (Canimambo Restaurant)
Drumming Circle 6pm. (Festival Grounds)
Fire Dancing 6pm. (Festival Grounds)
DJ 9pm. (Canimambo Restaurant)
Theme Friday the 13th Party Prizes to be won! (Canimambo Restaurant)
Food/Drink Specials and More! 

Saturday the 14th July:

The Festival Grounds and Ticket sales will open from 11am and will close at 11pm.
The day will start off with Arts in Motion Competition where each artist will, sketch, paint, spray or form any Art on a board to the theme of "Tubula Rasa". This Art will then be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to The Meyer Beukes Warriors on Wheels Foundation. The winner of the art competition will receive a hamper with prizes from the local businesses. More Entertainment on Saturday will include:

A Variety Live Bands.(TBA)
Arts and Craft Stalls (TBA).
Extreme Sports.
Hiking Trails.
Kiddies Corner with Jumping Castle, Swimming Pool Kiddies Art Comp and more!
Unplugged Poetry, Theatre & Open Mic Chill Zone.

Sunday the 15th of July:

All fest goers will have to leave the campsite grounds with refreshed spirits and happy hearts by 12pm. There will be a FREE nature tour of the surrounding areas around Graskop which will be guided by two of our friendly crew members sign up at the gate and the convoy will depart at 12pm sharp!

Why should you sponsor?

The Canimambo Free Form Festival has been a running success for the past 8 years.

We have a wide variety of people attending the festival, from local families, young millenials, tourists to business owners. The festival has an average attendance of 500-800 spectators. It has been sponsored by small businesses over the year's which have received huge benefits from it's exposure.

This year we are also rasing funds and awareness for The Meyer Beukes Warriors on Wheels Foundation.

The Canimambo Free Form Music & Arts Festival will create limitless exposure for your product in an area that welcomes thousands of holiday goers every year.

What makes our festival different from others is that we promote ALL artists in Africa's original music only. Most of these artists are up and coming and the music variety is what attracts so many different kinds of people.The area is also surrounded by nature and historical attractions like the Jock of the Bushveld Trails, God's Window, The Kruger National Park and Pilgrims Rest just to name a few.

We feel that your company will only gain from sponsoring our event.

We are open to any klind of sponsorship but mostly looking at cash sponsors as we need these resources to pay fo the beautiful land that we are having the festival on.

My name is Courtney Gibson,

The Canimambo Free Form Festival is my little brain child.I am a musician from Graskop, Mpumalanga South Africa and truly believe our country has some amazing talent that has not been let out. So a decided to try and do something about it

I have been working on it for the past 8 year. It started out just as a small event at Canimambo Restaurant and the locals just kept asking me to host it every year after that. I now have a dedicated crew that helps me opperate the entire festival so it can run smmothly. Our local muncipality, police station and businesses all support the festival and sponsor small prizes each year for our charity art fundraiser.

I also have a small documentary on myself just so you can get a little more of an idea of what I do...
