About the event

Hello,

My friends and I are trying to raise money to make lunches for the needy in homeless shelters in the community, we are just a group of high school students wanting to make a difference. Last year we made 1000 lunches with the help of volunteers. This year we hope to make even more lunches and help even more people.

We were hoping you'd like to be a sponsor and help us in making a difference. Our sponsor will be featured in a video by pious projects for their generosity. 

We are making basic sandwiches with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and bologna along with a juicebox and a piece of fruit, If anyone is willing to sponsor those instead of money we would greatly appreciate it.

Murteza Fakhrizada

My name is Murteza Fakhrizada, and im just a part of our high school MSA(Muslim Student Association). I am from Afghanistan butI grew up in Ottawa from the age of one, I moved back to Afghanistan with my family at the end of grade 7 and had to repeat grade 7 there. During my time there I've had the best and worst experiences of my life so far but they have both helped me in getting on with my life, and will continue to help me get where i want to in life. I recently moved back by myself and am living alone, when I heard about the project I knew I wanted to help and make a change since i had seen many people in Afghanistan who were living in poverty but could never help them, and knew that now i could make a change even if I am just an average 19 year old, I'm a 19 year old with ambition, perserverance and hope for a better world.
