About the event

Expressions is an all inclusive, all arts festival. With everything from Rapping, and Singing to Poetry, Fashion Painting and Photography. As an organization we wanted to foster a safe space for people to express themselves. This festival is a place to where the community can come together to meet new people, appreciate art and get inspired. It is an art gallery, music festival, poetry slam and more all in one. This will be a night of great food, great people and great art. Our goal is to promote unity through all forms of expression and we want to give a platform to local artists who may not usually be able to have this kind of exposure. Our organizations main goal is to inspire the visionary we believe is inside every individual and the best way to inspire people is through human interaction and seeing how others express themselves. 

Why should you sponsor?

By sponsoring this event you are doing more than just sponsoring us, you're sponsoring the people, you're sponsoring a movement. We as an organization believe heavily in the power that lies within people especially when united and we believe the best way to bring people together is through sharing of ideas. Expressions is the epitome of all this. We put on this event free of charge for the first time last year in December and we paid for everything out of our own pockets and the response from the community was astounding. We believe this year we can go above and beyond but we can't do it on our own. We have a detailed budget to ensure that every single dollar we receive is used diirectly for this event. This Includes the costs for venue, equipment, food and, etc. Sponsoring this event would mean connecting to potential buyers in a real and tangible way, this event is all about bringing people together and showing something real. Your company will reap the benefits of being associated with this event, you will be perceived not just as some corporation but as a real entity with real people behind it.  Our audience is mainly teenagers from ages 14-19, this can be a very fickle audience especially in these times where everything is always moving so fast and opinions are constantly changing. We as teenagers ourselves understand this more than any advertising agency, we understand how to  relate to them especially coming from the same communities. And it seems corporations are becoming more and more impersonable, on various occasions we've companies completely miss their mark with an ad, leaving everyone wondering how any real people could have approved such a thing. Our team understands how best to appeal to this audience. We are best suited to advertise your company in a way that is real and humanizing. 

Iyanu Ajayi

I am the founder of Generation C, and event manager for Expressions. I created this event because I felt there wasn't a space where people could freely express themselves in my community. Since then I have worked and am still working tirelessly to build up this organization.
