  • About the event

Waveland is a nonprofit organization that acts as a platform for emerging Canadian musicians to showcase their talents to local and international audiences through our events and marketing efforts. Founded in 2012 and based in downtown Toronto, we have established ourselves as the premininent showcase for emerging talent and have demonstrated a scalable model of success for artist growth and development as well as live events. We are verified by TechSoup, Google for Nonprofits, and Microsoft for Nonprofits. We receive an annual sponsorship from FACTOR for our emerging artist programming. We have worked with companies such as The Economic Club of Canada, Airbnb, Collision Conference, and Accenture in creating safe and inclusive spaces for emerging Canadian artists to perform. Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of hosting an intimate concert for the VIP reception of a Barack Obama Speaking event.
On November 20-21st, 2020, we are planning a miniature music festival at EverGreen Brick Works called Everbloom. The festival will feature Toronto’s emerging vocalists in a safe and inclusive space. This festival will cater to 100 people (50 people per day in compliance with COVID-19 indoor event capacity regulations), and feature 10 artists.

    Why should you sponsor?

The artists demographics are as follows:

    100% Canadian

    90% POC

    50% Female identifying

    40% Female identifying POC

    ages: 19-35

    location:Toronto and GTA

This year has been a challenge for emerging artists in the city of Toronto. This festival aims to provide paid performance opportunities to 10 artists and connect them to an engaged and present audience. It will create a safe, positive, and inclusive space to gather with loved ones and to listen to performances from emerging artists in Toronto. EverGreen Brickworks is the ideal spot for this festival. It has ample space, ensuring that we are keeping within the COVID regulations set out by the province and providing a safe space to gather.
