  • About the event

ECCC's mission is to bridge the communication gap between undergraduate commerce and engineering students; to give them an opportunity to learn from each other by collaborating on challenging and innovative real world problems before starting their careers. We strongly believe that integration between the faculties of business and engineering is imperative to creating the leaders of tomorrow. With this objective in mind, we are organizing an international case competition from February 28th - March 4th 2017 and at which the best talents from 16 universities will participate. You can learn more about us on our website.

    Why should you sponsor?

The ''Engineering and Commerce Case Competition'' is currently looking for corporate partners for its 4th edition. This year's competition main themes will be "IoT" (Internet of Things) and FinTech. Here are three main reasons why you want to partner with us.

    ACCESS TO TALENT

ECCC strives to strengthen the communication channels between engineering and business. The competition’s structure provides a setting for students to develop valuable interdisciplinary communication skills. These skills are becoming more essential in a growing number of working environments including cross functional and start-up environments. By having access to such talents, you can benefit from higher creative and competitive solutions, and enhanced collaboration within work environments.

As part of our ECCC family, we maintain a database of all our students’ working resumes. By becoming a partner with us, you will have access to our Annual Talent Bank.

    COMMUNITY INVOLVMENT

As an official not-for-profit organization, ECCC partners with major student associations representing Engineering and Commerce at a provincial, national level and international level. By partnering with us, you will be directly involved with the development of the spirit of the competition and furthermore, the future leaders of tomorrow. This would be a great opportunity to get involved with the exponential development of the growing community within Canada and the globe.

    VISIBILITY

As an international competition, we play host to an ever-growing list of academic institutions from around the globe. We’ve had the pleasure to host universities from Canada, Mexico, South Africa, Egypt and Israel, and plan on expanding this list further. By partnering with us, your logo will be promoted as an official partner through our various marketing channels.

These include, but are not limited to, banners, video advertisement available on site, promotional gears, social media and website.

Our complete corporate partner package is available on our website.

    WHO WE ARE

The Engineering and Commerce Case Competition, EngComm, is a student-led international competition hosted at Concordia University in Montreal. It is back up by the Dean and the President of the school to ensure it is a successful event.

    OUR MISSION

Current undergraduate curriculum is largely taught in silos. This leaves students ill-equipped with the skills to thrive in team based work environments, with costly cascading effects for future employers.

As such, EngComm’s mission is to build communication bridges in the workforce of tomorrow by hosting a forum for Engineering and Commerce students to collaboratively find solutions to real-world challenges that modern industries face.

ECCC is not a simulation - our corporate partners have a unique opportunity to have their internal challenges scrutinized, and effectively crowdsource the best solution from both a technical and a commercial perspective. By leveraging top University talent from around the globe, this holistic approach allows our partners to benefit from a low-
cost, low-risk consultancy approach to solution proposals.

Our corporate sponsors understand the value of gaining visibility with these young innovators who will be their future employees and customers. They also understand the positive brand impact of this community development effort.
