About the event
Dharohar'18 is an cultural and fine arts fest of the National level with all the three events nights follows by the evening night in which we call upon the most reounced and dignified persons of the classical indian music and also we play the movie at our 'jharokha'the movie fest.
There is a 4 day prolong event across the fertile and populas land of the pantnagar university that is situated in the foothills of the himalayas, and the event is spread across 7 colleges under the largest and most profund Agriculture university of India.

SPIC MACAY Pantnagar Chapter
Pantnagar Chapter of SPIC MACAY is a sub-ordinate of the SPIC MACAY, Kumaon Chapter. It was established on 15th Feb, 1984, and through these years, we have evolved in knowledge, exposure and experience. With the ceaseless efforts of the Chapter members, the Staff Counsellor, and the University Administration, amalgamated with the patronage of the dozens of Indian classical dance and music forms, the Pantnagar Chapter of SPIC MACAY has had the opportunities to witness some of the greatest living exponents of the traditional Indian art forms. It is our endeavour to help disseminate the best of the Indian classical heritage with its attendant legends, rituals, mythologies and philosophies to young students and professionals.
A step in this direction would be to give the youth of today a chance to witness the past glories of India. A taste of the traditional culture and art is bound to instil in them a passion to relive and restore our past culture, our traditions and our heritage. Thus, SPIC MACAY Pantnagar Chapter organises various artist nights every year, and a national cultural and literary fest, titled as Dharohar. SPIC MACAY Pantnagar Chapter has, up till now, successfully organized various artist nights, featuring eminent Indian artists in the field of Indian classical music and culture, such as “ Shree Kheta Khan and Troupe” (November, 2013), ‘TRIDHARA’, the Odissi dance group (April, 2013), Pt.Mukesh Sharma accompanied by Ehsaan Ali and Arshad Khan on Tabla and Sharif Ali on Tanpura (March, 2013), Ustad Kamal Sabri accompanied on ‘Tabla’ by Shri Sukhmoy Banerjee (March, 2012), Pt. Prateek Chaudhuri along with Ustad Rashid Zafar Khan OnTabla(January, 2012), Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Pt. Vijay Ghate and Pt. Rajesh (March, 2012) and many others.
