Dear Sir/Madam,

We write to you as a representative of fun4autism, we are a Leek based autism

fundraising organisation. We plan and run events to fundraise for autism charities such as the NSAAA, NAS and Autism West Midlands.

 In recent years we have been actively raising funds for these charities by gaining personal sponsorship as an individual or a team at the events these charities run. In the past we have held multiple fun days and have been involved with community events where we have fundraised.

Our core beliefs are: autism awareness though activity and acceptance, not tolerance.

This year we have decided that our activities need to be bigger and bolder, so we have taken it upon ourselves to organise a 2.5km  & 5km colour run in Leek’s Brough Park. 

The first of its kind in the area and will run in may 2017. This event is new to the Leek and Moorlands area. Numerous people have run UK wide in recent times, all generating a huge and successful buzz. The companies involved have all seen their potential, some even entering their own corporate teams or single runners as a bonding exercises for the employees. The passion and return from those who have been involved has been seen to. 

So to the point of the letter, we are seeking sponsor hip from companies to help fund this tremendous and fun venture in several ways, These included the event banners that will be placed all along the run route and around the event area, other items available to sponsor or that can be purchased as in kind gesture such as the paint powder/packets and sun glasses or any items you feel will work well and we can agree terms on, even down to the gift bags for the runners.

 We are hoping for up to 500 participants in the run itself as well. We anticipate friends and 

families to be there on the day supporting a cheering them all on, at the same time getting

involved with the numerous activities and stalls we hope to have on site.

All participants will receive a race number with the logo of one of the race sponsors printed on at no extra cost. These numbers are approximate and are taken from recent colour runs that have taken place across the UK within the last year. This event is being held in conjunction with Autism West Midlands an all funds raised will be going to this charity after the event is held.

 The prices of sponsorship are on the attached sheet, but terms are negotiable. If you do have any interest in sponsoring this event could you kindly let us know at your earliest convenience, as without this much needed sponsorship and fund we may not be able to fulfil our goals.

At this current time we are struggling for sponsorship for the items included in racers packs and the colour powders for the stations as you can guess these are the most important part and where we will discuss more terms, also any company that does sponsor the event will be placed on our Face book page and within the sponsor section of our website (www.fun4autism.co.uk ) which is currently under construction, with information about the company and a link to their personal web address.
