About the event

The Classical Voice Company LLC, which produces opera and opera related television shows and live programs has created Classical Voice Television (CVTV), the vision of voice for the 21st Century!

Background

Additionally, with the advent of new technologies, control of how consumers view entertainment has shifted from the entertainment companies to the viewer. With platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo, anyone can create a television show or movie and have it circulated to a larger audience. Netflix and Amazon Prime have solidified their place with award winning television shows that the consumer can binge watch at their convenience.

Lastly, there continues to be a lack of music education in schools where students would be able to experience opera at an early age, resulting in their adoption of the art form.

With all of these changes, some opera companies have tried to create platforms that will appeal to younger more technologically savvy consumers. TheMetropolitan Opera and others present HD broadcasts to local movie theaters around the world. Medici.tv live streams classical music performances, including operatic masterclasses and competitions, around the world. However, even with these advances, opera and classical vocal music are still not capturing, expanding and maintaining potential consumers of opera.

Classical Voice Television

Classical Voice Television (CVTV) is an internet based television network that informs, educates and entertains the opera and classical vocal music viewer through comedy, drama, lifestyle, educational programming and performances.

The network is subscription based, where subscribers pay a monthly fee to access the content with their first 30 days free. They can view content either On Demand or via the live streaming feed. The shows on CVTV are mostly original shows either created specifically for the network, or projects that are finding a home on this platform.  Additionally, the network will televise stage works from operatic, musical theater, and classical stage companies.

The difference between CVTV and other services of this genre is we make our network and programming more accessible to all people through topical programming featuring established artists and a platform for the young singer (college and beyond) to learn, grow and entertain. AND, we’ll be on-the-air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Viewer Demographics

Our viewer demographic is as follows:

Household income from $35,000+

College graduate, graduate school, professional degree

Single, married with or without children

Watch a classic arts related event or performance at least once per month via electronic media (television, radio or internet)

Use at least one social media platform once a day (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.)

Access entertainment through online platforms including YouTube and/or Vimeo at least 3 times per week

Subscribe to at least one online entertainment website (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc)
