  • About the event

    Despite the immense popularity of video games and pop culture, no event of this kind has ever been held in the Channel Islands. Demand is high, as evidenced by increasing numbers of islanders spending hundreds on flights, hotels and tickets for similar events overseas each year. It’s about time we brought some of this magic to our shores!

    We have already approached large brands such as Nintendo, Xbox and Playstation to discuss their potential involvement in the event and intend to reach out to the likes of Marvel and DC Comics to enhance our pop culture offering.

    Our event will bring together fans of gaming, movies, TV, technology and popular culture. We are planning to include, numerous experiences and attractions including, unreleased video game demos, various workshops, an on-site cinema and more to keep our attendees entertained and engaged over the course of the weekend.

    We will also be hosting costume competitions and esports contests with prizes to be won. There will also be plenty of retailers exhibiting both locally and from the UK. We expect attendees spanning multiple generations and demographics based on a mutual love of the pop culture industry. We also hope to draw in visitors to Jersey from the UK and France.

    Why should you sponsor?

    CI Con will provide excellent brand exposure and attendees will give credit by association for larger sponsors. You will appear on all promotional materials as a minimum.

    This event is destined to succeed and grow annually with no competition to speak of in the Channel Islands and your brand will receive the gratitude of attendees for being part of the reason we FINALLY have a comic con to attend without spending a small fortune. What better time to launch than 2018, the year of the BIGGEST superhero movie of all time Avengers: Infinity War. CI Con will be the perfect end to a summer of Super Heroes

    CI Con will be supporting two charities as well, The Jersey Brain Tumour Charity who are a small local charity, and Special Effect, a national organisation bringing accessibility to handicapped gamers in the form of modified controllers and more. Both of whom we intend to donate a portion of proceeds to as well as taking collections at the event.


    Jason Bourgeois

    Jason is just one of a committee of five dedicated individuals intent on making this event happen and have it be as big and successful as it should be right out of the gate with plans to have it grow annually.

    He is a creative branding professional and certified inbound marketer, specialising in corporate identity and social mediamarketing. His current 'day-job' is Studio Manager at AEA Design a branding and marketing agency in Jersey, Channel Islands
