About the event
Centenary University and Manchester Metropolitan University students are teaming up this semester to host five different exciting sporting events to raise money for charity. These events will be hosted in Manchester, England from March 9th to March 17th.
Our group’s event is a “Blind Football Tournament.” This event will be a football tournament where the players will be blindfolded to step into the shoes of the blind and to raise awareness for two specific charities involved with this unique sport.
The goal of our event is to raise awareness and get donations for British Blind Sport UK and the United States Association of Blind Athletes. Both of these charities help blind and partially sighted people get active and play sport, organize sporting competitions for people with visual impairments, allowing them to compete against others, and support the education of teachers to ensure no child with visual impairment is denied the opportunity to play.

The main goal of this event is to raise money for charity! 100% of the proceeds will be divided and donated to both British Blind Sport and the US Association of Blind Athletes.

David VanArtsdalen Jr.My name is David VanArtsdalen and I am currently a sophomore at Centenary University in Hackettstown, New Jersey. From March 8th through March 17th, a small group of students, including myself, and two professors will be traveling to Manchester, England. The main purpose of this trip is to host five different events for charity. I am very excited for this opportunity and to be able to support two great charities!
