    Why should you sponsor?

We are an up and starting organization built on great values and the will to inspire and implement change in society for the disabled. The Blind Dance Company is a opportunity for the visually impaired to become professionals in an art form that many believe they don’t have the ability to succeed in. This is the first time an organization dedicated to offering professional services and jobs in the Blind community has been formed, with an emphasis on creating professional dancers. Our students work long and hard and have a fighting passion to make a difference in the community. Studio space, shoes, snacks and water, Access Transportation,Government

Fees, are just some of the expenses that go into starting this organization. Currently there is one professional instructor donations all of her time for free and two well recognized board members who are dedicated to running this organization the right way. Our startup fees are a main priority in establishing a well structured system.

I am the founder and director of The Blind Dance Company. We are a startup non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the lives of the visually impaired. In doing so we aim to create employment opportunities within the entertainment industry for the Blind community. I am a professional dancer and instructor specializing in ballroom and latin dancing to name a couple. I have an extreme passion for enhancing the lives of others through the arts, a very creative and fluid way to express oneself. I have witnessed so many peoples lives changed through dance and have had the privilege to teach across the country and spread my passion. Teaching in the Blind community has allowed me to open up doors for a group of people who are offer over looked. The amount of talent within this community is amazing and my upcoming fundraiser “Arts In the Dark” is a blind Artist Showcase which will feature the amazing talent within the Blind community here in Los Angeles where I reside. This creates opportunities for them to perform and be employed for future events and shows. I currently volunteer my time twice a week for four hours at a time teaching these amazing dancers, providing them snacks and paying for studio space which is costly. My current main focus is completing the process of our legal fees starting up our website and funding our summer showcase. Every amount donated is a step towards bettering the lives of the Blind community. As a business owner myself and hard worker I take the value of a penny very serious and always distribute finances accordingly to their sole purpose. Meaning every cent raised is spent correctly and goes towards enhancing our organization so that we can enhance lives.
