About the event

Each year the Bachelor of Global and Internatinal Studies Students Society gets together to celebrate another academic year while supporting a charity that relates to a theme of the year. It provides the students with an opportunity to give back to the global community while also having fun. The event is a seated dinner followed by speeches, awards and donation of a cheque to the charity. It is followed by dance. 

The topic we have chosen to focus on this year is environmental awarness and climate change. The charity for this years event has not been chosen yet so stay tuned to oiur Facebook for more deatils!

Why should you sponsor?

We are looking for Sponsroship to help us make the event more accessible for students and to also help us give back in our community. Our event has over 150 students attending from different ranges of academic backgrounds. We are one of the only charity galas at Carleton and represent one of the largest students societys on campus. We appreciate any support that you might be able to provide us with. 

Graeme Postma

The BGInS Students Society is a society located at Carleton University for Students in the Bachelor of Global and International Studies program. The program offers a wide range of specializations for students wishing to become global citizens. The students society role is to assist the students both socially and academically thorugh the organziation of study sessions, pub nights and exam de-stressors. We are one of the largest students society's on campus with over 800 members. Our society also won Society of the Year from Carleton University Students Association in 2019.
