Beyond the Sea and Waves: A Book Launching Event,

Artissimo Art House, Cebu City, Central Visayas, Philippines Artissimo Art House, Cebu City, Central Visayas, Philippines

  • About the event

The University of San Carlos’ Department of Communications, Linguistics, and Literature celebrates its love for homegrown art. In line with this, we would be hosting our book launching event Beyond the Sea and Waves: An Anthology of Contemporary Cebuano Poetry, an event which would gather different admirers of the literary arts.

Beyond the Sea and Waves would be showcasing homegrown talents of Cebu including, poets, musicians, and photographers, as a form of exposure to cater to their needs as emerging talents. We would also be launching our book Dagat ug Kinabuhi , an anthology which would contain poems about the sea written by different Cebuano poets with their respective English translations by the Linguistics and Literature majors, we would also be having a photography display, and an acoustic night.

    Why should you sponsor?

A sponsor should support our event because they are entitled to a free merchant's table. The sponsor would also be acknowledged live during the event, and the company logo would also be displayed on the advertisements of the event and on a power point presentation.

A sponsor should sponsor our event because we, the organizers, are just students and we don't have enough money to fund the entire event.

    Aly Evangelista

Aly Evangelista is a 20 - year- old Literature major in the University of San Carlos who lives her life with the hopes of traveling the world and going in different adventures as soon as she can. She is a travel - junkie by heart with a part time hobby of taking photographs whenever she travels. She spends most of her time in Cafes drinking coffee and spending time with her friends; but when an opportunity to travel knocks on her door, she takes the first trip out and can be very hard to locate. On normal days, you can find her at Asiatown IT Park having coffee at either Starbucks or Coffee Bean. So if you have a job offer which gets her to travel, knock on her table and grab her attention!
