About the event

My name is Tricia Anne Pangilinan Orpilla.I am married to Christian Peligro Orpilla.I have four children Christian, Desiree, Noah, and Keone.I am a candidate for The Mrs.Philippines 2017 Pageant. This is a popularity fundraising event, in which I will be soliciting donations for The Philippine Cultural Center. The PCC is not government funded and as to keep it active and running there are various types of fundraising involved in maintaining our beautiful building. The Council of the United Filipino Organizations of Tidewater Incorporated, is a 501(c)3,so any donations will be a tax exemption.

There will be two canvassings.The first one will be May 28th at the PCC. I wil turn in any ads that I have collected, which will be placed in the sovenir program. Businesses may place an ad advertsing thier products/services or  friends and families may even wish me the best of luck on my journey into becoming Mrs.Philippines. The second counting will be held on June 10th at The PCC. All donations,fundraising,pledges, raffle tickets and dinner tickets will be tunred in so we may count the amount made.The totals from both countings will be tallied and the winner will be the candidate who raises the most money from both countings.

Why support me you ask?Or, why did I choose to run for Mrs.Phillippines?First the PCC is my home.Then you can understand that I care for The PCC and that it means a lot to me. I spend a lot of my time at the PCC helping and planning     

different events. I am involved with updating the PCC calender,when you call to leave the a message at the PCC you can even hear my voice saying to leave a detailed message.

• Business Manager and Entertainment Chair, for The Council of Fil Americans of Hampton Roads that hosts The Fil Am Friendship Day,
• The Entertainment Chair for Fil Fest
• The Director for The Young Filipino American Dancers of Virginia, a filipino hip-hop group
• Vice President and Past President of The Asian Pacific Heritage Association of Hampton Roads
•  Admin/Media Coordiantor for The Pacific Islanders of Virginia and past Vice Chair.
• Artistic Director of a Polynesian Entertainment Company called Halau Kahealani
•  Artistic Director for Mini Shock DC

Another reason why I chose to do the pageant is to become a healthier and better me.I am on a personal self journey into using this pageant to achieve a healthier lifestyle.Most of my fundraising events are going to be focused on a healthy lifestyle.I want to be around for a long time to see the PCC grow.I had a suprise baby and there is a huge age gap between the oldest kids.I would love to be around longer to share PCC with my suprise baby and my future grandchildren.
