Benefit Concert,

About the event

The Edward D. Herndon Legacy Foundation, Inc. holds an annual Benefit Concert for the purpose of raising funds to support student scholarships and leadership opportunties at the school with which it is affliated. The concert has traditionally been a free-will gift event, but this year, it will be ticketed. The Foundation will host award winning gospel legend Richard Smallwood & Vision and award winning gospel trio Virtue. 

Why should you sponsor?

A sponsor should support this event because it is for a worthy cause. All of the Foundation projects are geared towards providing high academic achieving students with scholarship funds as well as establishing funds for need based grants. The organizaiton, for whom the foundaiton is named, seeks to continue the legacy of the teacher - Mr. Edward D. Herndon - who served as a teacher at the affliated school for over forty years.

I am not only the organizer of this event, but I am also the daughter of the individual for whom the Foundation is named. I am personally invested in seeing the success of this event, especially since it is the first time that the Foundation will hold a ticketed event. I am hoping that it is the beginning of bigger and better events for the future.
