Since 1992, award-winning comedian Don Barnhart has both performed and produced comedy shows for the U.S. Military.  From independent and self-funded tours, benefits and fundraisers to the USO, Comics on Duty and Armed Forces Entertainment, Barnhart himself spends several weeks a year commited to entertaining the troops.

Inspired by Bob Hope's legacy, Don Barnhart's Battle Comics are dedicated to entertaining the troops and bringing even more comedy shows to the men and women serving around the world in the United States Armed Forces.

In 2016 alone, Barnhart has brought his Battle Comics Tours to Afghanistan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Kosovo, England, Germany and Belgium as well as doing numerous benefits and fundraisers for those injured during battle.   Battle Comics were featured in the upcoming documentary I AM BATTLE COMIC by filmmaker Jordan Brady.

By sponsoring a Battle Comics World Tour as the “Platinum Title Sponsor” your company could provide for 12 (two week) tours over the course of a year that will run both domestic and overseas reaching up to 500,000 personnel at the 270 military installations around the globe. War and combat are one of the most stressful things a soldier will face and although they train for it, it's not always easy.  Right now, we are seeing a huge increase in suicides for the soldiers and providing comedy shows for the troops is just one of the many ways our nation is trying to deal with this tragic issue.

Don Barnhart and his wife Linda Vu have also personally produced their own tours as a way of saying, "Thank You" to the US military for all their sacrifices that they make during their tours of duty.

Our goal is to boost the morale and welfare of the men and women serving their country by bringing them the highest caliber of professional entertainers in the most cost-effective way. 

Comedy shows have the unique ability to easily fit the largest venue to the most remote base with virtually no set up time. If there is a crowd, Battle Comics can and have done a show!  From ships to remote bases and the front lines, comedy shows have the benefit of little to no set up time.

It has been said, “Laughter is the best medicine”.  It also turns out that comedy can be a preventative medicine as well.  For years, stand up comedians have been entertaining the troops in war zones and on the front lines and Bob Hope really started it by showing the importance of bringing a piece of home to the men and women serving in the military.

Don Barnhart’s Battle Comics team has already scheduled 3 tours and 2 benefits for 2017 but would like to do even more.  We are seeking more sponsorship to help underwrite the cost of boosting the morale of those serving their country stationed away from home.

The award-winning comedian currently stars in the new sitcom and web series Class Clowns.  The show, created by Barnhart follows the miss-adventures of fictional comedian and former sitcom star Johnny B who pulls a “Kramer” takes a “Chappelle” and comes back to star in his own “Seinfeld” type of web series/reality show.  The show is written by Barnhart and Keith Lyle from the Hangover movie and co-stars Lyle and fellow Vegas comedians Derek Richards, Brent Mukai and Linda Vu all who can be seen performing at Jokesters.

 

Don's new book, Finding Your Funny just hit the Best Seller List on Amazon.  With a humorous and heartfelt forward by Comedy Legend George Wallace, Finding Your Funny goes beyond Barnhart’s own 25-year journey and shares the brutal, often overlooked experience and advice of other comedians, entertainers, managers, agents and bookers. The book includes a no holds barred assessment about what clubs, venues and agents are actually looking for as well as many of the things you need to do and avoid if you’re looking into making comedy a career.

 

Over the last year, Barnhart’s film career has really been gaining steam as he stars in the documentary, Finding The Funny with Brad Garret and Louie Anderson and plays a rather disgruntled, road weary and carefree comedian in the upcoming comedy film, Tribute To Fluffy.  Don can also be seen playing a psychotic mad man in the new web series Max Justice.

 

Barnhart has been seen on MTV, Star Search, and Evening At The Improv and has been featured on ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC.  Barnhart is a Bob and Tom Show favorite and his comedy CD, I’m Not Just Eye Candy can be heard frequently on the comedy channels on XM/Sirius Satellite Radio.  In 2015, Don was the grand prize winner in the Levity Entertainment/Improv Comedy Contest and was the Grand Prize winner in the 2008 American Idol Underground Comedy Contest.

 

Besides all of this, Barnhart has been performing and producing comedy shows for the troops since 1992 and just completed his third Battle Comics - Laughter For The Troops World Tour and is featured in the upcoming documentary I AM BATTLE COMIC by filmmaker Jordan Brady.  In his off time Barnhart teaches stand up, improv and comedy writing at The Las Vegas Comedy Institute.
