Atomic Shade Pop-Up Museum,

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

  • About the event

Atomic Shade pop-up is an immersive art exhibit hosted by Populist Media.

The 2-month exhibit is a throwback to everything fun in the 50s with 10 highly instagrammable displays.

The ‘pop-up museum’ is the first of many to come from Populist Media and a way to bring community together in a interactive atmosphere to relive old memories and make new.

Pop-up Museums have been the latest trend amongst Millennials to feed their social media obsession of Instagram-worthy content, but they’re more than that.

IRL (in real life) multi-sensory experience of bright, fun and child-like behaviors increases human empathy, community, and a release of daily life stresses - qualities that are currently in high demand.

The Atomic Shade exhibit seeks to bring this phenomena to the Vancouver community, ultimately giving visitors and locals a truly new and unique experience to bond over - full of color, music, nostalgia, fun and of course, IG-worthy photos. #artislife

Populist produces high quality customized lifestyle content, showcasing the best of local business, food and drink, tourism, and culture through an easily digestible and entertaining, “what to do and where to go” style.  Now we're bringing our digital world to a rad IRL experience for local Vancouverites and visitors.

Pop-ups are like the new going to the movies, they almost feel like playgrounds for adults. If you’re trying to do a fun date that isn’t run-of-the-mill, it is worth it.

    Why should you sponsor?

Meaningful partnerships are what make all the difference and help us bring this experience to life.

This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground level of multiple pop-ups to come, build stronger community ties, connect to the Millennials of Vancouver, promote your business and be intimately associated with a unique experience in Vancouver. Your brand will be associated with everything in relation to the event and will tastefully accompany all of the promotional materials.

We have partnered with Tourism Vancouver and have the City of Vancouver’s support to enhance the marketing reach for the event. This will provide your brand the opportunity to be in front of thousands of locals and tourists in Vancouver and throughout the province.

Your partnership will help us build the exhibit, pay artists and staff, and ultimately ensure its success. You’ll also have access to the exhibit. We’re seeking sponsors who believe in making Vancouver a more artistic, creative and fun city.

    Rebecca Traub

I'm the Founder and CEO of Populist Media. I started Populist after a 12-year career as a Producer and Coordinator of multi-million dollar budget feature films and network TV series. When they film industry started to fall, I realized a lack of quality content in the digital space and made the switch. Populist was founded out of a need to still create high quality videos, with a travel guide for what to do in Vancouver, geared towards locals wanting to know their backyard and the 10M visitors each year.

Through the experiences I've had throughout the past 4 years with Populist, I've noticed the need for more activities and fun things to do in Vancouver, so now I'm combining my production skills with my experiences to create unique, fun and positive experiences for the people of Vancouver and its visitors.

This exhibit will be the first of many, including a shipping container park.
