  • About the event

The AMCIS Kids Camp will be a STEM focused camp for children of those attending the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) (https://amcis2017.aisnet.org). AMCIS, a preeminent information systems research conference, conducted under the auspices of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), typically attracts over 1000 attendees from North America, as well as other regions of the world.

    Why should you sponsor?

AMCIS Kids Camp is your opportunity to reach over 1000 IT academics and professionals across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Emails announcing the availability of the camp will be sent to the AIS global listserv (over 4,000 members) and will contain the sponsors names. Information about the Camp and its sponsors will be posted on the AMCIS Kids Camp website, as well as on the AIS Women's Network Linkedin group and Facebook page.

Additionally, because the Camp will be located in the Boston Sheraton during peak summer vacation travel season, many other hotel guests are likely to see your sponsorship logo.

    Eleanor Loiacono

My name is Eleanor Loiacono, Professor of Information Technology at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. I am the cofounder of the Association for Informaiton Systems Women's Network (AISWN.ORG) and have been working to help address the issues faced by women academics in the IT field for over 10 years. One of the main issues mentioned by many women and men in the field is the need for childcare during conference. Since the Association is a non-profit, there are no funds to support such activities and thus I am hoping to raise funds to create the AMCIS Kids Camp--not simply childcare, but a tailored STEM-based educational experience for the children attending.
