    Bharatha Arangam is presenting its annual flagship show on September 30, 2017 supporting children related charities. This show features original music, lyrics, choreography and talented dancers telling the story of a pearl, a journey of a child.

    About the Guru (Teacher) : Smt. Premini Thanan            Smt. Premini Thanan, a motivated dance teacher and an inspired choreographer, founder  and an Artistic Director of Bharatha Arangam Dance institute, a school that is devoted to the extensive training in the Kalakshetra style of Bharatanatyam. She has been teaching bharatanatyam for over 20 years and has earned the title “Natiya Kala Vithahar”. She is committed to actively training the progressing group of dedicated students in New Jersey. Her instruction emphasizes the importance of teaching this ancient art in its pure form.    A lifelong student of dance, Premini started learning Bharatanatyam as a little girl at the age of 4, under Kala Bhushanam Smt. Leela Selvaraja , {Disciple of  Rukmini Devi Arundale  who was a dancer and choreographer of the Indian classical dance form of Bharatanatyam and who laid the foundations of Kalakshetra] and continued her training  with Natya Kalaimani Smt. Malini Suresh , Disciple of renowned maestro Erampu Suppiah and performed her Arangetram before a packed audience of experts and well-wishers at the Kalaimanram in 1994.  A lead dancer in numerous dance performances and dance dramas, Premini won many competitions as a dance student. Premini has inherited the dance styles of her gurus and their gurus.
