  • About the event

    This event is about honoring the service and sacrifice of female veterans who have served faithfully in our military service as well as our civilian sisters who also are breast cancer suvivors. We are about forming a sisterhood of support to foster camaraderie that can connect women veterans and civilian women who are breast cancer survivor.  While we are excited about the upcoming luncheon!  We can’t do this without your support to assist the organization in continuing to strengthen our commitment in meeting our goals and fulfilling our mission and vision.  Our guest speakers are Dianna Waterman, noted realtor in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and Woman Veteran Jackie Iverson, CEO, Infinity Speaks.  Both Women  are going through cancer treatment.  Dianna Waterman is a civilian and Jackie Iverson is prior military.  It should be noted that less than 1% of all breast cancers occurs in men

    Your support will make it possible to reach women that are in need and desire a better quality of life.  With your donations, we will be able to increase our capacity of volunteers and expand our services to reach more women.

    Women Veterans United Committee, Inc.’s (WVUCI) purpose is to advocate, coordinate, raise awareness, and provide information to women veterans and women in the military.  Veteran women or military women should be afforded quality health care and benefit services, information, filing claims, and programs.   As an advocate, WVUCI strives to assist women as they transition from the military into civilian life.  We are committed to raising awareness within our communities by emphasizing that each woman veteran should be treated with dignity and respect because of the sacrifices that they have made.
